Revised styling offers a modern, sleek look and drive by wire outboards add a range of new features found on the flagship BF350. Experience smoother cruising with Cruise Control and its expanded adaptive speed range, then use the Automatic Tilt to set a default trim angle to avoid manually trimming the engine when docking and mooring.

Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronic Control (VTEC)
The VTEC™ system, which optimises power and efficiency at all engine speeds, was born out of Honda’s passion for racing. Developed for high performance engines, VTEC varies the lift and duration of the intake valves to provide optimum performance at both low and high RPMs. VTEC delivers smooth stable idling at low speeds, while increasing valve lift at higher speeds, which broadens the torque curve and top end power.

Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC)
A powerful, compact 16-valve DOHC design creates more valve lift to pull in more air for increased horsepower. The low-maintenance design allows easy adjustment of the rocker arms. No multiple shims or trial-and-error adjusting needed.
On Demand Charging
Honda’s proven ‘on demand’ belt-driven alternator reduces heat build-up and provides superior battery charging capability. 55amp total, with 30amp charging at 1000RPM and 40amp+ charging above 2000RPM. The Automatic Idle Charge system meets increasing demand from onboard electronic equipment. If electrical demand increases at idle speed, the alternator automatically produces a higher output.
ECOmo – Lean Burn Control
Honda’s Lean Burn Control technology, ECOmo, maximises fuel efficiency by adjusting the air/fuel mixture according to speed and load. Offering significantly improved fuel consumption over direct injection two-stroke and competing four-stroke models. It’s class leading performance.
Updated Drive By Wire (DBW) – More Control Than Ever
Accompanying the drive by wire outboards is an new remote controller to help make the most of all the intuitive features. Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI)
Honda’s renowned Programmed Fuel Injection is controlled by an advanced Engine Control Unit (ECU). Engine sensors precisely control the supply of fuel to the engine, providing easy starting, instantaneous throttle response and superior fuel economy.
Boosted Low Speed Torque (BLAST)
Honda’s revolutionary BLAST™ technology provides strong hole shot performance, getting the hull on the plane quicker. This air/fuel ratio and ignition-timing technology boosts engine torque at low RPM under rapid acceleration conditions. It’s NMEA compatible, meaning all engine data including speed, fuel consumption, cruising distance, etc can be displayed on the GPS screen.
